Why continents drift

Currently, science has found that continents are moving slowly. What caused this and why it happens is unknown. It is obvious that the drift of the continents is caused by the movement of lithospheric plates on which they are located. So to the question: « Why do the continents drift? » the answer is the following: the cause of continental drift is the displacement of lithospheric plates of the earth's crust, on which these continents possessed.

Now the next question arises, what makes the lithospheric plates move, what force moves these huge masses of rock? In my opinion — these are magnetic forces. Of course, by themselves, they do not move the lithospheric plates, but they make the earth's magnetic dipole turn and it turns inside the planet, moves these same plates, and with them the continents.

What is a magnetic dipole? Think it's iron breed, linked magnetic interaction and is built inside our planet in a certain order in the magnetic field. The nature of the location of the dipole relative to the axis of rotation of the planet determines the magnitude of the magnetic field of the Earth. The smaller the angle of deviation of the dipole from the axis of rotation of the Earth, the higher the magnetic field of the planet. Conversely, as the angle of deviation of the dipole from The earth's axis of rotation increases, the magnetic field intensity decreases, and the magnetic protection of the planet from the deadly cosmic radiation depends on it. The higher the tension the better the protection.

What makes the earth's magnetic dipole unfold? The answer is obvious — the interaction of the magnetic field of our planet with the magnetic field of the Solar system, which, I think, is now also experiencing an inversion, the magnetic poles are reversed. The reason for this inversion is the interaction of the magnetic field of the Solar system with the magnetic field of our galaxy. The fact that the Solar system, like everything stellar system, moves around the center of the galaxy in a spiral, periodically crossing its equator. When it passes the Zenith of the spiral coil, the direction of the magnetic field lines of the galaxy, for her, changes to the opposite. For example, the Solar system moved from the equator to the Zenith, and, passing it, moves in the opposite direction — from the Zenith to the equator of the galaxy.

The earth's southern magnetic pole is now shifting much faster than the North pole. Thus, the angle of deviation of the magnetic dipole of the planet from the axis of its rotation increases and the magnetic field of the Earth decreases. It's already down 10%. Hence, the magnetic protection has become weaker, and this has led to global warming on our planet. I am sure that the cause of global warming is inversion the earth's magnetic field and resist this humanity can not. What happens next is easy to guess. Further weakening of the magnetic protection leads to deterioration of living conditions and then comes the period sterilizing the planet. It will be impossible to live on the surface of the Earth. Those who live by the ocean will try to survive underwater, those who live on the mainland & mdash; underground. The trouble is that this period can last for centuries and will have to survive more than one generation.
